Marketing your business used to be easy. Now, buyers expect more. They may still want “To Buy” but they are much more likely to want to be lead to the sale.

While you can set up a basic business, many other people will set up a similar website.

Unless you add a proper sales and marketing funnel to your business you are competing with dozens of other people for the same customers.

By all means start off with a basic website but your ultimate aim should be to create (or have created) your own sales funnel.

But where do you start marketing your business? There is a lot to learn.

Start by joining my Digital Online Marketer Newsletter and I will show you some of the resources that are available to you.

Customer Profiling

Customer Profiling

Do you know the profile of your average customer? No, I thought not.

You should research your target audience to find out a bit more about them, their likes and dislikes.

What are their pain points?

What is their income (can they afford your products)?

What desires makes them tick?

Writing a customer profile enables you to find out:

  • Where is the best place to advertise to attract your ideal customer?
  • What is a typical advert that will attract your ideal customer?
  • What level of language should you use to create rapport?
  • What should your background story be?

These questions can all be answered by doing a little bit of research and writing a customer profile. Mutliple profiles (5 or 6) are even more useful.

A typical customer profile

Be specific when writing your customer profile, give them a name, add a photo to the profile.

  • What are their annual earnings?
  • What is the level of their education?
  • What are their interests?
  • Do they have their own business?
  • What do they want to learn about?
  • How much time do they spend online?
  • Why do they need your product?

If you target a well thought out customer profile you will achieve much greater Internet Marketing Success.
